Fun and Creative Things To Do With Your Photography and Earn Some Money Too!

Create Greeting Cards
This has been one of my favorite things to do. I have sold greeting cards locally in San Luis Obispo to Book Stores, Yoga Studios, Wineries and Bed & Breakfasts, for re-sale. Here are a few sites that offer greeting card stock or services

PHOTOGRAPHERS EDGE http://www.photographersedge.com/
This site has card stock available that you simple attach your 4x6 or 3.5 x 5 print into. It does not require any special printer on your part. They have lots of different styles available. The card actually makes a great mat for your photograph and will fit in a 5x7 frame beautifully. They include matching envelopes.
One thing that is really fun with this site is that they use their customers pictures for their catalog and web-site. You can submit photos with a form that they provide that will outline the license agreement that you are granting. If they choose to use your photo, not only do you get published but they also give you a $25.00 gift certificate. This again is great exposure.

RED RIVER PAPER http://www.redriverpaper.com/
I have used their high-gloss and it really brings out great color. There are choices on paper weight, gloss, matt or linen. I have only used the high gloss but have been very happy with the results. These are printed on your printer. They have a compatibility section so you can see what would work great with your computer. You will have to order envelopes separately at this site. The gloss cards can only be printed on one side, so the inside will have to be blank. I am not sure about the other card types

CLEAR BAGS http://www.clearbags.com/stationery/cards
I recently discovered their card stock. I really like the Moab card stock. It is a mat with an almost leather type feel to it. These are printable inside and out. I believe you will have to order envelopes separately at this site. Check out their clear bags. It is the perfect way to package your cards for resale. They are crystal clear and protect your card from damage due to handling, plus it gives the card a finished, professional look.

GREETING CARD UNIVERSE http://www.greetingcarduniverse.com/
Now this is a great concept. I have not signed up here yet but have a friend that loves it. You can open your own card store at their site. This site sells your cards to retail buyers. When a buyer buys one of your cards the site processes the payment, prints the cards and handles shipping. They pay you up to $.56 per card. The cards are at a great price of $2.79 each with quantity discounts. I have not seen the quality of the cards yet but understand it is very good.
