Things to Do With Your Artwork
Here are just a few suggestions of some fun things you can do with your amazing work!
Enter Photo/Art Competitions
There are some very fantastic photography competitions you can enter on-line. The listed are a few that I have had great experience with.PHOTOSHOWDOWN http://photoshowdown.com/
This is a really friendly site. They have photos of the day posted each week. The images that were picked as photos of the day are then in competition for photo of the month. 1-3 are posted as well as honorable mention. They have a special category every two months to add a little challenge. It is free but donation are except to keep the site up and running.
BESTFOTO http://www.bestfoto.com/
Again, free but donations are excepted. This has Photos of the day posted every day. The POTD are then entered into a Best of Category which allows on-line voting. The six best of category then compete for the PHOTO OF THE MONTH again with on-line voting.
BETTERPHOTO http://www.betterphoto.com/home.asp
There is a charge at Betterphoto. The basic membership is $4.08 per month billed annually. Here you are allowed to enter one photo per day into the contest. It is a monthly contest with the grand prize being a deluxe web-site. With this membership you also get a beautiful gallery. It is a great way to showcase your work if you don’t have a web-site already. Here is the link to my gallery http://www.betterphoto.com/Premium/default.aspx?id=104381&mp=V3 They have designs and colors you can pick from and as your photos win awards there are little badges attached to them. I have met some great people from this site and have seen some beautiful photos from many talented photographers. They offer lessons on-line too.
NATIONAL PHOTO AWARDS http://www.nationalphotoawards.com/index.html
This does cost to enter. Last I entered it was $8.95 for the first image and they offer discounts for multiple entries. This is a monthly contest with a grand prize of $250.00 and a gift certificate to Red River Paper. They place photos from 1-10th. It is great exposure for your work and if you win they e-mail your image to everyone on their list.
FAN ART REVIEW http://www.fanartreview.com/index.jsp
I only joined this for a short time but had a lot of fun with it and met some great people that I am still in touch with. The fees for this range from $6.95 per month, however if you sign up for two years it is only $2.80 per month. There is a lot going on at this site, lots of competitions, prizes, ratings and you can offer your work for sale on this site too!
